Title: | Gendered behaviour of men and women in the workplace: time to move on |
Authors: | Vohra, Neharika |
Issue Date: | 4-May-2011 |
Abstract: | When a dual career couple engages in a job search and the wife waits for the husband to get his best job and then starts her own search; or when a woman decides to take a career break for caring for the twin babies the couple has just had; or the high performing woman refuses to take on a demanding role because she chooses not to be ambitious; or when a woman chooses to go home after work to take care of her ailing mother rather than attend a party to which the global head of the company has invited her among few others, the individual woman appears to be making voluntary choices. |
