Issue Date: 9-May-2011
Abstract: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is one of the leading IT consultancy firms in India and abroad. TCS has successfully completed many public as well as private projects which also include various e-governance projects across the globe. TCS’ ability to deliver high-quality services and solutions is unmatched. It is the world’s first organization to achieve an enterprise-wide Maturity Level 5 on both CMMI and P-CMM, using the most rigorous assessment methodology – SCAMPISM. Additionally, TCS’ Integrated Quality Management System (iQMSTM) integrates process, people and technology maturity through various established frameworks and practices including IEEE, ISO 9001:2000, CMMI, SW-CMM, P-CMM, and 6-Sigma. TCS now wants to measure the impact of some of these projects at various levels and dimensions. Hence, TCS has approached Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA), for conducting an impact analysis study of five different projects each year. The objective of the study would be to gain insights into the projects and use the findings as learning for future projects.
