Abstract: | GESIA is the consortium of IT and ITeS companies of Gujarat. Over the years, the number of firms entering this sector in Gujarat has been on the rise. Although it has been one of the prime areas of focus for the government of Gujarat to promote the IT and ITeS industry in Gujarat, it has not been able to make Ahmedabad as the second Bangalore. The objective of this exercise is to: • understand the competencies and success factors of various successful IT firms based out of Gujarat • benchmarking these competencies to current set of successful IT firms based out of India • understand challenges and bottlenecks of other IT firms in Gujarat hindering their growth • any policy level implications that the government of Gujarat may consider. |
