| Abstract: | In this independent project , It has been shown how Revenue Management can be utilized in freight carriage . The difference between freight and passenger Revenue Management have been pointed out, With special focus on Rail Revenue Management. An in depth study of how the current freight management works in the Indian Railways, how the resources are utilized and the demands met, have been made. The issues facing the Indian Railways in the area of the Freight carriage has been brought out and it has been recommended that Revenue Management modules be implemented to solve the problems being faced by the Indian Railways. |
