Companies can diversify through acquisitions or through internal development. Intenal development is implemented by relying on existing internal resources as the basis. Such a strategy of diversification requires special technological and Organisational capacities, which may take as long as a decade to implement. Whereas diversification through acquisitions can take weeks rather than years to execute. |
