Description: | Foreign Exchange risk is important because of the growing importance of multinationals and great instability in currency markets in recent years and especially since 1973 and finally to the increasing problems for companies which have to operate on a worldwide basis in an era of flexible or floating exchange rates. Currency fluctuations affect companies in three ways, they are accounting risk,i.e. conversion of subsidiary profit/losses, economy risk, i.e. equating with transactions in future and market valuation risk or the impact of the currency movements on the value of the company in the equity market. |
