| Description: | The authors have developed a information system for mutual funds using data from SBI Mutual Funds, which had 4 different schemes running, each of which was maintained by a different person.The system can be viewed in two parts viz. the accounting part and information part. Based on interviews with executives at SBI MF and from the author's own readings, they have arrived at what could possibly be the information needs of the funds manager. These are elaborated in the report. The system has three modules viz. master file maintenance, data entry and inquiries. The role of the first two modules is merely in facilitating the third. |
