Description: | The project consists of two parts, the first deals with a market survey to find out the investors awareness and preference for mutual funds and the second consists of literature study of interviewing officers and agents to get some knowledge of the historical background, present and future trends. The study also brings out the difference in preference between cities. The literature study shows that Mutual funds have performed very well in terms of dividends and net asset value appreciation. A number of new players are thinking of joining in this newest money game. However, the paucity of floating stock will be a major hindrance in its growth's path. Also, the government has to lay down certain ground rules as is done in USA to regulate the move of the players. |
