Abstract: | NKN organizational mechanisms in India are limited to the operationalization of the network per se. It is possible that some institutions would have undertaken initiatives to leverage the infrastructure for a variety of purposes, including curriculum design, course delivery, and administration and collaboration. The objectives of this project are to: identify organizational structures and processes that support innovation in higher education institution for exploiting public high speed network for HE and FE and research centres in India and UK; understand the role JISC and other institutional mechanisms at the national and local level that allow JANET and its ecosystem to be leveraged effectively; identify the role of the ecosystem partners in facilitating adoption and usage; and suggest possible learning from UK and India for such publicly provided key national infrastructure which both countries could use effectively and would have implications for other countries planning similar infrastructure. |
