dc.description.abstractAn attempt has been made in this paper to examine the impact multipliers of housing investment in relation to the corresponding multipliers for investment in other sectors of the Indian economy. It seeks to measure the income multipliers as well as the employment multipliers associated with investment in various sectors of Indian economy and to assess on the basis of this analysis the relative importance of housing vis-a-vis other sectors in the context of priorities in resource allocation.en
