| Abstract: | The paper describes the tentative conclusions from interviews with a variety of individuals with respect to indigenous modes of management and also from the study of the annual reports of about 200 companies. Evidence indicating substantial inter-industry, intra-industry, and intra-business group differences in management practices is presented. |
