Against the backdrop of global market conditions with increasing competition and quality concern on the one hand, and a large number of small, direct or indirect stakeholders facing market imperfections and market failures in the Porter value chain of any agri-business enterprise on the other, this study aims at highlighting the need for suitable institutional responses in terms of building appropriate agribusiness organizations together with appropriate contractual forms to rope in all important stakeholders as well as to take care of their concerns. Case studies of several private, cooperative, government, and non-profit agribusiness organizations across sectors will be undertaken.en_US
