Title: Feasibility of Ad-hoc Peer-to-Peer Mobile Mesh Networks for Rural Connectivity
Authors: Ranganathan, Kavitha
Keywords: Computer and Information Systems Group
Issue Date: 2008
Abstract: While mobile usage in developing countries is on an exponential growth, the penetration in rural areas is very low owing to high operational and infrastructure costs. Ad-hoc peer- to-peer mesh networks have been proposed as a cost effective solution for connectivity. This study will evaluate the viability of such a proposal.
