The paper briefly reviews the process of preparation of the district credit plans and the deficiencies of these plans from the view point of their implementation. To provide more insights into the problems in implementing the action plan based on credit plans, six selected credit plans have been critically analysed. The suggestions for further work on the action plans are made. These suggestions need to be incorporated if the action plans are to be made implementable.en
