Abstract: | Boond is a rural distribution start-up focused on supplying energy-efficient development products like lighting, water and cooking solutions. Boond started by providing these services in West Bengal but at present, it is operating only in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The operating model consists of employing village level entrepreneurs who lead the sales of products and services by Boond. Over time, Boond has increased the product assortment, unbundled the development kit and developed customized products to suit different requirements of the villagers. At this stage, it needs to devise a strategy to ramp up sales of their products in the regions they operate, and expand their operations to newer geographies. They also seek PE and VC funding to achieve the objectives of expansion. |
