Boond is a rural distribution start-up focussed on developmental products in areas like lighting, water, cooking amongst others. Boond started with providing these services in West Bengal but at present, it is operating only in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The operating model consisted of village level entrepreneurs who lead the sales of products and services by Boond. Over time, Boond has increased the product assortment, unbundled the development kit and developed customized products to suit different requirements of the villagers. The major issues being faced by Boond currently are operations and financing. It needs to devise a strategy to ramp up the sales of their products in the regions they operate. They also need to attract PEs and VCs to their business model to be granted some capital.en_US
