Framework for organising district information service centers (DISC)

Abstract

In order to strengthen district level administration for implementing various developmental schemes, it would be necessary to develop proper information systems at the distrit level. A framework for developing and organizing District Information Service Centres has been developed. The information systems are suggested to be developed using a mini or micro computer. The nature of computer based information systems and the organizational set-up needed to develop the District Information Service Centers, is also discussed.
