Abstract: Schools provide an interesting opportunity to study the application of management principles in practice.School faces somewhere similar situation to any business house. Two schools in Ahmedabad Riverside and Rachana were selected for the study. There exist great contrast between the schools selected; one being an experimental and other using traditional ways.Stakeholders approach was used to understand the principles in details. The various stakeholders used in the report are students, parents, teachers, principle, administrative body, governing body and the environment (or the society). An institution should align itself as a student organization.Ensuring learning, development and providing immense exposure comes out to be most important parameters for the student.Students are from the different socio-culture-economic background.Any school needs to be appreciative of this fact and work so as to include these differences rather than removing them.Various activities like extra-curricular,co-curricular and others are discussed and their effect on the overall development of the students.l A teacher although less paid compared to other existing market opportunities has lesser attrition because of greater commitment to the work in both the school studied.Innovation is a constant need for a teacher. Most importantly understanding the learning difficulty plays a significant part. There is a system of performance evaluation to incorporate meritocracy in the system. There is regular teacher training to upgrade them as a requirement.Parents do not always look from money perspective as there are other externalities involved in the learning process at school. The principle, as studied in our report, plays a very important driving force.Similarly, the importance of other stakeholders is discussed in detail in the report. The unconventional and openness have helped these set of school to impart value to the various stakeholders. The management principle put into efficient practice is appreciable.
