dc.description.abstractMuljibhai Patel Urological Hospital was conceived to develop as a super speciality hospital in Kidney diseases in 1978. At that time there was no institutionalized hospital for catering to the kidney diseases. It was started with a very modest beginning of 20 beds, 30 staff and visiting Urologists and Nephrologists. In the last 37 years hospital has grown Nationally as well as internationally. it is the Centre of Excellence which has now become 170 bedded hospital with 380 staff and 40 doctors. MPUH has involved with three main areas namely, (i) Patient Care, (ii) Medical Education--teaching to be specialist; (m) Academic & Research activity. It took team effort to achieve the quality in each of this. Believing in quality management, planning, control, assurance, improvement and consistency, Dr. Desai will be sharing in detail not only about KidneyTransplant,Stone Management, Laparoscopy, Robotic Surgery but also Teaching and Training.en_US
