dc.description | More and more girls are making it to the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA). Unlike Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) that have introduced 14% special quota for girls to boost gender diversity in classrooms, IIMA has not introduced any quota yet seen a significant jump in intake of girls. Compared to 2015-17 when 15.71per cent of the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP) batch comprised of girls, in 2017- 19 batch the figure has touched 26.49 per cent, the highest in three years. In 2014-16 batch, the PGP course had around 28.14 per cent girl students and in 2013-15 batch girls formed 22% of the total number of students. | en_US |
