This paper presents a hierarchical framework for integarted energy planning and applications of the framework for planning at different levels. The proposed planning framework links macro level national and/ or state (regional) energy planning with micro level block and village energy planning. Models are proposed for energy planning at national/ state level, block level and village level. Real- life application of the models for energy planning at each level in india is presented. The models through appropriate interlinkages proved a wholistic framework for policy analysis and planning.en_US
