Abstract: The only way to bridge the ever-increasing urban rural health divide is to use Information & Communication Technology and integrate Telehealth into the healthcare delivery system. This profusely illustrated presentation will demonstrate that delivering remote health care in isolated areas including the Himalayas in a PPP mode is practical and doable. A devoted passionate team of programme managers, using human resources from the local communities, identified and circumvented hosts of issues. This led to making available self sustaining revenue generating affordable quality healthcare to anyone anytime anywhere. Management issues in executing a pan India mega CSR activity touching more than 7 lakh individuals and PPP projects in 5 states in difficult inhospitable terrains will be highlighted. These include delivering Remote Healthcare at 14000 ft for two and a half years, managing 164 eUPHC centers in Andhra Pradesh and managing 115 eVision centers in Andhra Pradesh with 7 lakh attendees for each service. Challenges in commencing teleradiology services will also be touched upon. The Business of Humanity is best exemplified in these socially relevant Technology Enabled Remote Healthcare Telehealth projects.
