dc.description.abstractThe venture capitalist investments have one of the deciding factor in shaping the startups of the country. The report explains the current trend of investments in Indian Startups. More than 5 Billion USD has been invested in the Indian startups. Even though the number of deals increased a lot, the average values of first round investments have been going down. The legal and political situation of India makes it difficult for the startups to get proper funds at the right time. Our report provides a better picture of optimum timing for funding and the valuation methods which are used by startups/investors for their valuation. In the recent days, there is a huge buzz around investment by the venture capitalists in the startups of the country. With the tremendous growth in internet penetration, mainly through mobiles, the e-commerce firms are growing at a high pace. A huge amount of pumping of money has been observed in the firms like Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber. Many startups are making their presence in the online platform. With this scenario, we tried to find out the actual current trend in these funding, what are the optimum timings for first round, second round of funding, who are the top investors and their average deals. Thus our report is to highlight the real picture of Indian startups and VC funding.en_US
