Abstract: The objective of this project is to formulate an adaptive questionnaire using a decision tree and analyze its efficacy as compared to a static questionnaire. An adaptive questionnaire poses as few questions as possible, by selectively asking the respondent questions based on the previous responses, to determine the response for evaluating a set of parameters (Ortigosa, Paredes, & Rodriguez, 2010). Two questionnaires (one adaptive and one static) for analyzing the same set of parameters would be developed and administered to the same sample. The responses would be compared to analyze the efficacy of an adaptive questionnaire by evaluating its reliability, validity and response rate.
