Abstract: A middle aged woman was advised hysterectomy based on the clinical symptoms presented by her. Hysterectomy was advised by an Oncology Gynecology surgeon. An experienced Urological Consultant advised against hysterectomy. Ms. Tara was confused and hence through a common friend reached out to a Gynecologist for a second opinion. The experience turned out to be not so pleasant and inconclusive in terms of opinion. Upset and disappointed with the experience, the patient and her husband were contemplating possible legal action against the Consultant. The central issue in the case is to decide the worthwhile nature of such an initiative.
