dc.description.abstract | To combat the menace of Air pollution in India, the legislature has enacted a comprehensive set of laws with the parent act i.e. The Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act (“Air Act”) dating back to 1981. This Act was passed in furtherance of the Stockholm Conference on Human Environment, 1972. As the name suggests, the Air Act provides for curbing air pollution through establishment of Central and State Pollution Control Boards (“PCB”) who work under the aegis of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate | en_US |
