With the new generation becoming more and more risk taking and youngsters starting up their new ventures, it becomes important to identify what are the factors responsible for making a startup a successful one. This research aims to analyse the views of investors and the trends among entrepreneurs that distinguish a successful and a failed venture. In this study, the authors had compiled a list of factors responsible for a startup’s success, based on literature review and personal experiences. Qualitative interviews of investors were taken to refine the list and get further insights. Finally, a questionnaire was prepared and administered to successful and failed ventures, and hence various insights were drawn.en_US
