dc.description.abstract | Having defined leadership and taken a look at the traits which characterize leaders, the next question that arises is if, and to what extent these personality traits have an impact on the development, operation and outcome of leadership. This means that in addition to identification of leadership traits, it is crucial to examine the role that they play, and if there are other factors- context, skills, people which influence leadership. A myriad of research has been undertaken on this subject, and it spans from development of specific additional skills, to impact of personality on leader behaviour and effectiveness, to exploration of contexts where these characteristics can come into play. | en_US |
