dc.description.abstractThe objective of this paper is to describe and discuss various patterns of organizations and their implications for functioning of industrial promotion corporations at state levels. This is based on the work done by the author. With one such corporation several years ago. It is expected that this paper would stimulate discussions among policy makers to assess the available alternatives and choose suitable patterns on the basis of relevant criteria based on particular needs of the states in which these corporations are located.en
