Abstract: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) is a project which was launched by the Government of India to enable the direct transfer of benefits from the Government to the citizens who fall below the poverty line. The project aims to remove the intermediaries and hence tries to make this entire transfer more transparent and instantaneous. The money gets directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. DBT is applicable to schemes like PAHAL, MNREGS, PDS, NSAP and various scholarship and other schemes. In this project we are focusing on the various scholarship schemes that provided by different ministries at the school level as well as for higher education.
