Abstract: The world is witnessing a major shift in Digital education. India is one of the most potential markets for Online Education. With penetration of internet and smartphones, the Indian online education market is expected to grow eight times by 2021. Laptops and Smartphones have brought a different perspective to the internet based business models. Application, video, multimedia content and collaboration have defined new boundaries for businesses. It is interesting and important to understand the current market, its growth potential, current and upcoming players, various segments in the market and the complete ecosystem. It is a good exercise to understand various stakeholders in this industry and how business models can be adopted in a specific category for gaining early adoption or competitive advantage. This report is an attempt to understand the online education market in India, understanding the ecosystem with the help of a case study of ePGP course offered at IIM Ahmedabad. The later part of the report tries to recommend a solution and strategy for a mobile internet enhancement company – Alef Mobitech. Alef Mobitech offers customizable digital services built upon the network providers to explore mobile internet value chain advantages. Alef believes that there is a link broken between the network providers and the content providers. This is where they try to bridge the gap by building services over networks at the radio edge to provide intelligent offerings to the users.
