This paper is an attempt to understand the current hot topic that is the Gig economy and the possibility of a fit of the Indian unemployed graduates in the model. This is an exploratory research into the topic which ultimately leaves us with the understanding that there exist skewed disparities across the different tiers of gig economy in terms of opportunities, satisfaction and independence. Our exploration, while trying to find us the said fit, leads us into a related phenomenon called the Platform economy and the policy shortcomings that need to be dealt with to keep up with the changing ways of working.en_US
