dc.description.abstract | Public Sector Banks in India have recently garnered a significant amount of notoriety for their rising levels of Non-performance assets as well as the lack of fiscal prudence exhibited in lending and banking operations. While much of the flak has been to the culture of PSU banks, it is also important to understand the employee dimensions such as Well-Being and the existence of HPWS for an evaluation of organizational performance, since employees are a key link to organizational performance in the service sector. In this report, an attempt has been made to establish a link between High performance work systems and psychological well-being, both variables that lead to high levels of employee performance. The report has been structured to firstly identify the need of the study, through a historical background for financial demise of PSUs and the implications of study on managers and then chart out the scope of the study in terms of the objectives to be attained. Finally, the primary research methodology has then been explained with the findings reported. | en_US |
