Abstract: Researches have proved that interviews & speeches can reveal a great deal of information about the speaker’s personality apart from the semantic content. Moreover, the work experience, tenure, age and formal education show a lot more about the calibre of CXOs in performing strategic actions. At the highest of the corporate ladder where every decision has to be a responsible and conscious one, it is imperative to understand the personality traits of these people. Personality traits can be distinguished by the semantic content or speeches of a speaker. These sources can be effectively used for extracting the Big Five personality traits. This study aims at understanding the impact of different personality traits of the CXOs in the Indian context and the resulting impact on the company’s output, i.e., net profit margin, the percentage change in sales, etc.
