This report highlights the issue surrounding the lack of transgender employment opportunities in India. Through this project we have attempted to get first-hand knowledge on the issue from the transgender community in collaboration with the Chuwal Gram Vikas Trust. We understood their problems, expectations and aspirations in life which inspired us to create a brochure with a list of inclusive workplaces, skills upgradation centers, and employment seeking resources to have a real impact and distribute this resource throughout transgenders in Ahmedabad with the help of the Trust. This report shows how the current situation is problematic for transgenders looking for emancipation and how support of government and knowledge transfer can make it better. Hence, we explain the procedure of making our brochure along with an idea to approach the government to employ these individuals for birth/marriage registrations due to their vast network in the same. We also explain the various requirements of transgenders and inclusive policies that are necessary at workplaces for them. Finally, we highlight a few companies with such inclusive policies and the final brochure with the list of employment resources.en_US
