India has been successful in creating a robust startup ecosystem. With the cheap availability of labor and rapid advancement in technology, there has been a tremendous demand for tech startups. In addition to this, government policies, top institutes and rise of incubators have led to large scale increase in newly formed startups. Most of these startups have faced similar trends as can be seen from this report Through this report, our goal is to showcase the real picture of the startup landscape in India and the way forward. We started our analysis by looking at the existing startup ecosystem. Then we identified the latest trends in terms of factors like demography, sector, funding, mortality, government policies, Enablers and Unicorns. We also identified the core problems faced by these startups. And finally, we conclude by summarizing the observed trends and future prospects The report also contains an analysis of startups in FinTech and CivicTech area. We saw a decline in number of new startups in FinTech sector. The funding in this area has been increasing but not at the rate at which the global funding has increased. Series B funding seems to be one of the major difficulties for this sector. Also funding is one of the main reason for the companies exiting from the space in India.en_US
