The following project report is an attempt to implement Robotic Process Automation at NIF for their IGNITE and INSPIRE programs. The report starts off by reviewing existing literature on prior-art search. As part of this exercise, existing definitions of prior art and the regulatory environment surrounding it are reviewed. Next, the different categories of prior art are defined along with a brief discussion about the tools available to implement them. The following section details the role played by National Innovation Foundation (NIF) in Indian innovation ecosystem along with a brief description of INSPIRE and IGNITE schemes. Further, the challenges faced in evaluating the large amount of submissions received as part of these schemes are reviewed. The final section details the two key solutions proposed to implement RPA. First, it is proposed that the existing submissions be tagged with certain key fields. This will help in evaluating the novelty of the new submissions. Further, a template for new online submissions going forward is also proposed.en_US
