Abstract: | This report aims to analyze companies in the core technology manufacturing space to attempt to understand their strategies. Accordingly, Microsoft Zune and Google Glass case studies have been picked up for failed entrants from established firms and cases for Tesla’s EV and Xiaomi for phones have been studied for successful entrants from established firms. To understand this nature in startups as well, Rethink Robotics, Anki, Jibo and Kuri have been studied with regards to learn from their not so successful robots and GreyOrange, Asimov Robotics for their success in this industry. In this journey, a framework has resulted out of insights from the failed as well as successful, established firms as well as startups. |
