dc.description.abstractUnder the new IBC, many firms are going through bankruptcy process. This code has gone through major amendments based on market response to bankruptcies. Hence a comparison of this process with a mature bankruptcy process of US can be compared and contrasted. We try to understand a bankruptcy process in India and US and try to understand the capital market efficiency. We’ve made two caselets for the bankruptcy process of Bhushan Steel & Bethlehem Steel. The methodology adopted involves Industrial landscaping and bond market environment was analysed. Further, both the bankruptcies and stock price movement were analysed. And credit rating, operational performance was analysed. Hence, we have made two caselets out of the analysis of Bethlehem Steel and Bhushan Steel.en_US
