Abstract: | The current Indian slowdown has been particularly sticky with far-reaching consequences on policy-making. Studying the structural trends across sectors, we recognize poor crop production, fallout in construction, and slowing down processing of food and beverages as major areas of contention. We suggest that to prevent such lags on the economy from happening again, alternative sources of recovery to foster increased productivity at the ground level must be implemented. |
