dc.description.abstract | The Gujarat government passed a law called the Gujarat Self-Financed Schools (Regulation of Fees) Act 2017 to regulate the fee charged by private schools in Gujarat. The aim is to control the exorbitant fees the private schools were charging in the absence of clear law. The act is also called the Fee Regulation Act (FRA) 2017. Like the fee regulation of unaided private schools in Gujarat, many other states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, etc. have implemented laws to regulate fees in parents' and students' interest. The regulation process differs in different states; however, all of them aim to solve the same problem. | en_US |
