Abstract: | This is a qualitative study conducted with a sample of second year MBA students at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The objective of this study was to compare traditional, offline model of education to the upcoming online model. This was done across six themes. The findings reveal that the shift to online education creates gap across all six themes, which potentially can impact student learning and satisfaction. Out of the six themes, reduced student-student interaction and limited role of informal institute activities and culture were found to be the biggest shortcomings of online programs. |
