Businesses can purchase expert counsel from consulting firms. The first consulting firm started in 1886 with Arthur Little that focused only on technical research. Later in 1914, Booz Hamilton was born that served both industry and government clients. The consulting sector went through phases of modernization, and the first firm to formalize management consulting business was titled to McKinsey & Company.
