Abstract: | India has been consistently slipping in global ranking when it comes to freedom of press. There have been accusations centered on the safety of journalists, monopolization of media ownership and undue political and government influence. In this paper, we will attempt to first understand the broader context in which Indian Media exists, and list down the kind of influences that may shape reportage. After that we will isolate a few levers and study if and how they impact media coverage |
