Encryption is the process of turning information into a secret code that hides what the information really means. Cryptography is the study of encrypting and decrypting information. In computers, unencrypted data is also referred to as plaintext, whereas encrypted data is referred to as ciphertext. Encryption algorithms, or cyphers, are the formulas utilised to encode and decode messages. The algorithm of a cypher must include a variable for it to function. The variable, sometimes known as a key, is what distinguishes a cypher's output. Unauthorized parties who intercept encrypted messages must determine the sender's cypher and the keys used to encrypt the message's variables. Encryption is an effective security solution since it requires time and is difficult to decipher.en_US
