Abstract: In the context of India, the term "digital transformation" refers to the incorporation of digital technologies into the provision of healthcare services. It entails utilising technology to improve patient outcomes, expedite healthcare procedures, and improve the patient experience as a whole. India has made a considerable transition to digital healthcare in recent years, spending heavily in technology infrastructure and innovation from both the public and private healthcare sectors. The following are the main elements of India's healthcare sector's digital transformation: Healthcare practitioners can now maintain a patient's medical history and other clinical data electronically because to the widespread implementation of electronic health records (EHRs). As a result, there is better coordination and communication among healthcare professionals, which lowers errors and enhances patient outcomes. Technology is used in telemedicine to deliver remote healthcare services like video consultations, remote monitoring, and tele-ICUs. In India, telemedicine has become increasingly popular, especially in rural areas where access to healthcare is poor. Mobile health, also known as mHealth, is the practise of providing healthcare services using portable electronics like smartphones and tablets. These includes smartphone applications for measuring fitness, setting medicine reminders, and managing illnesses. AI and machine learning are being utilised more and more in the medical field to analyse vast volumes of data, spot trends, and prescribe specific courses of treatment. This can aid medical professionals in making more precise disease diagnoses and creating more efficient treatment regimens. Sensors and other connected devices are used in the Internet of Things (IoT) to gather data and automate procedures. IoT in healthcare can be used to monitor patients remotely, keep track of their vital signs, and notify medical staff of crises. The delivery of healthcare in India has the potential to be revolutionised by the adoption of digital technologies, making it more accessible, economical, and effective.
