Abstract: | Indian Millets- Background: Millets are nutrient-dense, water-stress-resistant grains cultivated primarily in India's arid and semiarid regions. They are grasses with tiny seeds that belong to the Poaceae botanical family. They are a significant food source and fodder for many farmers. India is one of the world's top five millet exporters. According to the ITC trade map, worldwide millet exports will increase from $400 million in 2020 to $470 million in 2021. 2022-23, India will export millets worth $75.46 million, up from $62.95 million in 2021-22. |
