dc.description.abstract | The term ‘value’ has been defined by English and English (1958) as ‘. . . the worth or excellence or the degree of worth, ascribed to an object or a class thereof. Though ascribed to the object and reacted to as if external or objective, value is a function of the valuing transaction, not of the object.’ By this definition work value means ‘the worth or excellence or the degree of worth, ascribed to a particular work activity or an aspect of the work’. | |
