| Abstract: | Describes the phenomenon of delinquency in formal lending. It also contains the responses of borrowers (defaulters and non-defaulters) to a set of hypotheses developed to identify willful default. Important characteristics of one hundred defaulter cases are presented to devise methodology for the identification of willful and involuntary default. |
