The case describes a network model for aircraft maintenance scheduling with multiple resource constraints. Schedules are to be developed which minimize fluctuations in manpower resource requirements and the total time taken for project completion. Most of the activities have single time estimates, while a few activities have three time estimates. The activities are grouped as sub- projects classified by the nature of work, such as Electricals, Radio, Instruments, Painting, etc. Further, some resources are common to all sub- projects.en
